About The Heroes

In Bo Jackson Battle Arena, the story begins with something unexpected: a simple ballpark hot dog. Fans who ate one on the wrong night found themselves changed forever—gifted with incredible powers they never asked for.

To keep their identities hidden from the world, these fans did what fans have always done: they looked to their sports heroes for inspiration. They built their new personas around the athletes they admired most—borrowing jersey numbers, colors, and swagger as symbols of their fandom.

But in a strange twist, the Arena has revealed that not all masked Heroes were just fans. Some were actually legendary athletes themselves—using their own careers as cover. By creating personas inspired by their own greatness, they threw everyone off the trail. The crowd thought they were paying homage, when all along the hero behind the mask was the legend themself.

This mix of mystery, fandom, and greatness is what makes the Home Team Heroes so powerful. They are reflections, tributes, and re-imaginings forged in a world where sports collide with superhero myth.

How can you tell if a hero is unmasked?  Simple. Look for their real name on their cards…if it’s there, you’ve found an unmasked hero!

IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE:

Bo Jackson Battle Arena is a transformative, fictional universe of superheroes.

Masked Heroes = Fan Fiction: Unless a card explicitly shows a real athlete’s name, all masked Heroes represent fictional characters who created superhero personas inspired by their favorite athletes. Just like wearing a jersey to a game, numbers, colors, or initials on these Heroes are symbols of fandom and tribute.

Unmasked Heroes = Partnerships: Only when a Hero is officially “unmasked” and their real name appears on the card does that Hero represent an athlete who has partnered with Bo Jackson Battle Arena.

No Assumed Identity: No masked Hero should be understood as the literal identity, likeness, or endorsement of any athlete. These characters are original creations designed to celebrate the culture of sports through superhero storytelling.

All Home Team Heroes (masked or unmasked) exist within the Battle Arena’s fictional mythos, where fandom, greatness, and imagination collide.
